I wrote everything in my other preview, I don't see a winner here, 2 equal teams who will try not to conceede as the importance of the game is just too BIG

1-1 or 0-0 that will be probably the final score

OMG! The biggest game and by far the most interesting game in the Jupiler League this season. Anderlecht and Standard, 2 big title candidates, are still in running for the championship and will play against each other. The one who wins, will get bigger chance to grab the title. It has always been a war between this 2 teams. They always were enemy's and the players are speaking about this clash for some weeks.

Anderlecht won his match easily against Westerlo with 5-0! First half was VERY boring, Westerlo defended well, and anderlecht ???tried??? but they got only few chances to score. In the second half, Anderlecht finnaly started to play better. After 10 minutes Pujol scored his 2nd of the season. Very easy goal, and if Westerlo conceede a goal @ Anderlecht you know it can become a big score. Westerlo started to play bad, they ???tried??? to attack, and gave more space to Anderlecht. 3 goals from Pujol (he never scored a ???hattrick??? in his career) a penalty goal of Zetterberg and a goal of Mpenza (he didn't score for month..) and we got a 5-0 FT.

Standard won his game like expekted with only 1-0. But it's not the correct score IMO. It should be easily 10-0 or even more. Brussels got only 1 BIG chance in the first half, and in the end, Brussels should get a penalty but thanks god for Standard fans referree didn't see the fault of standard gk Runje. But Standard got many chances, they als should get a penalty, but Brussels GK Nijs made some obvious miracles. Especially in the second half the game became very boring, and Standard was a bit tired, and they were happy with the 3 points, but not with this crap 1-0 final score.

This game won't decide who will win the title, but it will give only more hope and confidence to one team. Standard is currently first, and they will be happy with a draw. Anderlecht MUST win, if they win all 3 games, they will become champions, but next week they'll go to Gent, where they can lose points. It won't be a spectacular game as both teams can't afford to conceede a goal, the importance of this game is just too high. Onyewu and Conceicao won't play due to suspencion and that's a big blow for Standard creativity and defence. Whole Anderlecht hopes that Frutos can play, he'll start on the bench but I doubt he will have his best niveau after 2 weeks injury + he is not 100% fit. Bettingswise, Under 2.5 should be the most probably outcome, and if you bet on 1x2 outcome I suggest you to take DRAW just because both teams won't attack blindly just because it's too dangerous. Better one point instead of 0 h?. Last year Anderlecht won with 3-2, but the year before they lost 1-4 against Standard. Probably it will be a draw, as it will suite Standard. One thing is sure: it will be a WAR.

La Louviere-Brugge    +6.3

In fact a MUST win for both teams. Club Brugge aim is to get at least a third place that gives right to UEFA-cup. La Louviere is last in the competitions and can begin to prepare for 2nd Division. It's also a come back for Emilio Ferrera who was sacked by La Louviere in the past.

It was a nervous week for Club Brugge. They changed the trainer, and won their very important game against Zulte-Waregem with 2-1. Trainer changed but system didn't changed, and Brugge played in fact bad. Motivation was big and they won a game, but their midfield and defence sucked.

Anyway, an away win should be logical here as Brugge has the better squad and better team, la louviere is so pathetic this days, they will probably relegate this year, because they have the worst team in the league. That's whyI take Brugge here, Brugge trainer Fererra knows the house of La louviere, so be sure that this tactical master will do the job here.

La Louviere: Brahami and Sofiane are doubtfull

Brugge: Butina and Lange are out till the end of the season. Vermant is doubtfull but can probably play

Standard - FC Brussels

No doubt this will be a home win. Fc Brussels is just too poor for this Standard, And Standard must win here, because Anderlecht is also playing against a weak Westerlo at home, if Standard lose points here, they also lose the championship.

Standard won his game in Westerlo. Just after 11 second of the game, Negouai scored his easiest goal of his career, Westerlo goalkeeper Gaspercic gave just a pass to Negouai. In the second half Standard played BAD but they knew that they should win. Rapaic scored beauty and after that Standard never had problems with Westerlo.

Fc Brussels lost his game against Moeskroen at home. Again, a very boring game without many chances. Moeskroen scored a early goal, got even a red card in the first half but FC Brussels was just TOO dumb to take profit of it. After the game, fc brussels president told that many players will be fired if they play like now.

NO motivation here for the away side and they know that it's impossible to get points there that's why I say that Standard and Anderlecht are the BANKERS of the week-end. Only problem is that Standard was eliminated for the cup final, but it can be also an advantage, we will see..

Standard: Rapaic is injured but will probably play. De Camargo is out till the end of the season, Conceicao is suspended.
Brussels: Sanogo, Espartero, Snelders and Andersen are suspended

Well, despite the form of Gent, it will be a very difficult match. Gent is flying-high this days, from new year, they got the most points. But, it seems that they are bit tired now, Boussoufa (who is a half-God in Gent) got an injury and he played bad in Lokeren. Charleroi is very dangerous opponent, they just are just eliminated from the cup, and are very ANGRY

Gent won his game in Lokeren. Local derby you know, hot atmosphere in the stadion, but not in the field. In the first 5 minutes Boussoufa got an injury, played whole game, but was weak :( Still, his 17th assist and Foley scored the 0-1. After the goal, very boring game till the HT. After that Lokeren begun to press BIG. They got good chances, and Hakim Bouchouari scored a beauty equaliser. In the last quarter of the game, again Foley, he scored a REAL beauty, Gent tribune begun to siiiing
In fact the FAIR result should be DRAW, because both teams played not sooo good, and nobody deserved the 3 points.

Charleroi got his DESERVED points against Anderlecht. It was a 50-50 game, Anderlecht got big chances, but Charleroi got also their chances. At the end of the game Akpala scored the equaliser. Whole Mambourg went crazy! But thuesday they had a BLACK day. They are eliminated for the Cup final. It was a big dissapointment for the fans, for the whole team because Moeskroen was surely not the better side. Charleroi got good chances, they even scored one more (game ended in 1-1) but it was 40 cm offside for Sterchele. Moeskroen played good, but Charleroi was for sure able to win that one and win the game ...

Honestly, I don't think that Gent can win this one. Charleroi away is very weak, but they are very hungry. It can be an advantage, but also a dissadvantage. That make a no bet here, the odds for Gent are around 1.60 and that's imo not the right price. I don't say Charleroi X2 is value, better to take Under, as Gent attack is not the best one, with tired strikers and the same for Charleroi. That makes probably a boring game, without many chances..

Gent: Only De Beule is doubtfull
Charleroi: Defays and Sterchele are suspended and that's a big loss for Charleroi!

14-04-2006 20:30 Anderlecht - Westerlo

Well, everything but a home win will be strange in this case. Westerlo, without it's strong defender Van Kerckhoven and many injured defenders is just too weak for this Anderlecht. The team from the capital can't count on his scoring machine Frutos, bad thing but they still have Serhat Akin and Mbo Mpenza to score against a ???little??? team.

What happened last week with Anderlecht? They played in Charleroi, scored a very early goal and they thought that they had won. At the end, it was the last minute of the match, substitued Akpala scored the equaliser. Whole Anderlecht was ANGRY and dissapointed, Standard is the new leader in the competition! Anderlecht played OK whole game, they got several good chances, Goor hit the bar, Goor missed a big chance etc.. At the end of the second half they began to be nervous and they conceeded a goal.

Westerlo lost his game as expekted against Standard. Standard scored already after 11 seconds, it was a big fault of westerlo goalkeeper Gaspercic who just gave pass to standard player Negouai. After that goal, they played very slow, clearly without motivation, but they still had several chances to score the equaliser. After the second goal of Standard (beautyfull free-kick scored by Rapaic) Westerlo was K.O.

Well, whole Belgium knows that Westerlo has no chance in Constant Van Den Stock stadion. Anderlecht still in running for the championship, and they MUST win. If we compare both squads, Anderlecht has much better team than Westerlo. Westerlo plays for nothing, and with many injured players it will be very difficult. No chance for Westerlo here!

Westerlo: Niko Van Kerckhoven is suspended. Wagemakers got an injure in the game against Standard and he is out till the end of the season. Elejiko,Verheyen, Scasny and Beloufa (3 defenders!) are out!!!
Anderlecht: Juhasz and Kompany are out till the end of the season. Strikers Frutos and Iahchtchuk are injured

First of all, I can't get why is Moeskroen big favourite? Odds for Charleroi are amazing (3.10) But I won't be greedy and I will take a safer option who has imo a good value, and high chance of winning

Very important game for Charleroi. They are a good team, and deserve to get into the final of the Belgium cup. Moeskroen played a cup final few seasons ago, so MAYBE they are not so hungry. Still, they won in Charleroi with 0-1. Nobody expekted that, but Moeskroen was by far the better side and deserved to win. Charleroi was not good.

A week-end before the cup, Moeskroen won again an away win, this time in Brussels. They scored very a goal very early in the game. Not much later, Hatchi got a yellow card, so Moeskroen played a big part of the game with 10 man. Moeskroen trainer said to the players that they must defend the result and only what we saw were boring attacking attempts of the hosts. Moeskroen did nothing and the result stayed 0-1, and they are safe from relegation zone.

It won't be an easy game for both teams. I know, Moeskroen will and MUST defend their result. Charleroi knows that they must attack, so there will be many open space. Charleroi got a very nice 1-1 draw against the ex-leaders Anderlecht. It's very good for moral. They conceeded a very early goal, but after that, they pressed for the equaliser, got some chancec (anderlecht either) but it was a young Akpala who scored 2 minutes before the final time.

So, I still give charleroi a good chance to go to the final as they have a very good squad which deserves that. And smart trainer Matthijsen knows perfect how to play this game. 0-1 FT and extra time is the most probable result

Brussels-Moeskroen    +6.3

Pfff..it will be probably once again a boooooring game. Brussels who is playing very bad last games, clearly TIRED and desire to the end of the season. That's why coach Cortier are trying some different tactics, but his new system doens't work. Moeskroen is poor travelller, and they have probably the cup game in mind (next thuesday).

Moeskroen lost in Standard, like expekted. They played OK against Standard but they had a weaker team, and Standard had better quality players. In the end, they pressed and scored a goal !

Brussels played weak, but it's ok if you know that 4 basic players were suspended. The Brussels fans were very dissapointed in their team.. Genk dominated the whole game, and Brussels with Ni?§oise as only attacker couldn't create danger. Ni?§oise is still too young, he needs an expirienced striker as partner.

So both teams, play for nothing, Moeskroen probably won't take this game seriously as the Cup game next week is much more important, but Moeskroen coach is very defensive minded, so be sure we won't see many goals in the game. UNDER 2.5 is a very good choise !!

Brussels: First choise GK Nys is injured! 2nd choise keeper Dudas is also injured! 3rd choise keeper Izgi (he is good enough) will play!!

Moeskroen: Dugardein is suspended and Sanchez is injured!!

Now, we know that Anderlecht lost points to Charleroi it will be a VERY important game for Standard. Standard can finaly take the leadership and go next week to Anderlecht like leaders, very important for the mentality. I know, it's not easy to play in Westerlo: Brugge dindn't win there, Anderlecht lost there and Standard is now without their captain Conceicao. Still, Standard team is much stronger than Westerlo team, and very important is motivation. Westerlo plays for nothing, and in fact, they seems very tired and they don't play ???good???. Standard plays OK last games.

Standard won his game easy against Moeskroen. Result was ???only??? 2-1 but Standard was much better than Moeskroen. Especially in the first half they played very motivated. Moreira replaced suspended Conceicao and he played good, finaly he played at his level. In the second half, Standard played without inspiration, wasted a couple of BIG chances, and at the end Moeskroen scored a goal.

What did Westerlo at home against Charleroi? Nothing: no inspiration, no creativity, not good at all. Whole game they played very slow, missed some ???chances???, if you can call them chances. Charleroi played their game: good organised and that's why Westerlo had so much difficulties with this team. In Liege last year, Standard won with 1-0 but Westerlo last year was completely different with striker Coelho who played superb.

Standard is once agains in MUST win situation like Brugge and Anderlecht. Ok, it's a far trip for them, but with such motivation to take the championship after 23 years without a title..Westerlo plays for nothing, and they are no so strong anymore. I really believe in Standard, they played great this season, and they deserve to be the champions. I'll go for away win.

Standard: De Camarog is long term-injured. Sarr and Conceisao are suspended. Rapaic is injured.
Westerlo: Vanarwegen and Verheyen are doubtfull. De Wilde is out

?©h?©, a big East-Flamish derby. It's a kind of war between the fans of Lokeren and Gent, especially now Gent is flying high. Whole Gent knows that it will be difficult saturday at Lokeren, but Gent will go for the victory. Gent president De Witte said: now we are so near the 3rd place, and we want to take him and play in the UEFA-cup next year. Gent has a very difficult schedule, but they will give themselves for sure. Lokeren played great before the new year, after that, with so many injured players, Lokeren became a weak team, and now they are OK.

Lokeren played against Anderlecht, and they got a point! I can say only BRAVO to Lokeren. Ok, they defended whole game, got 2 chances, and Anderlecht scored in fact an own goal. Anderlecht pressed, but failed to score. Lokeren is very happy with this point!

Gent got 3 points against Brugge. Stadion was sold-out, GREAT atmosphere in the game, and I saw a great Gent with Boussoufa as a little prince of Gent. He scored 3 times against Brugge, and he played really SUPERB whole game. He has very good technic, and many clubs want to buy him. Brugge was weak, and Gent knew that. With De Beule and Gr?©goire and Boussoufa Gent had 3 technical players. Brugge defence hadn't an answer for that. After the match, great party in Gent, finaly we won against Brugge!

This game is comeback in Lokeren for De Beule who is coming back to his old team. He never played good against Lokeren (as player of Gent). Maybe he is afraid of the fans, because he quited the team because he was obligated to sign a new contract in Lokeren. Now he plays in Gent and each day he becomes a better player. Lokeren will play for the honour here, Gent will play for the points. I hope Boussoufa will have once again great day, and with him Gent is able to win once again. Still, it's a difficult game to bet. Away win seems to have value also because Lokeren striker Banc?© who is really in TOP-form got his 3rd yellow in Anderlecht and will miss the game. For this fact, Lokeren hasn't really good strikers now, Maybe Boucouari but he is not a real striker.

Lokeren: Banc?© is suspended. Van Hoey is doubtfull for the game. Drulic (no news about him??) and Van Handenhoven are the long-term injured players. .

Gent: Zoko is doubtfull, Vrancken is also doubtfull..

Edit: You know, before new year, Lokeren won with 1-2 in Gent, Now I expekt the same result in favour of Gent. Suddenly I realised that Gent must win here, they have much better squad, and with our "little" prince Boussoufa everything is possble! If we judge the chances by the odds, we see that the home team is favourite. Well, thank you bookies for the 2.85 that you give me on away win (6/10). Ok, Gent won't win maybe, but they won't lose it either, so X2 is a good option imo

A crucial match for the hosts. If they want to play in Europe next year they MUST win this one. A lot happened this week. Trainer Ceulemans who was GOD in Brugge is fired! With this assistant R?©ne Verheyen. Fans are very angry, because sportive manager Degryse fired a GOD and how! 5 games before the end of the season. Whole Belgium can't understand this decicion. Ok, now Brugge has a new coach: Emilio Ferrera! Lol, this 38 year old trainer never coached a topclub, only some relegationclubs. I think Brugge took Ferrera as trainer only because he speaks Spanish, and Brugge has Portillo (ex-Real madrid who speaks only spanish). Anyway, Ferrera style of playing is different from Ceulemans style. Ceulemans was like father for players, very polite, very calm. Ferrera is a strong man. He likes discipline, and tactic is his power. Back to the game: Zulte-Waregem probably already thinks about next week thuesday when they play a VERY important Cup game against Standard. Zulte-Waregem is current 5th , but I don't know if they has any target (exept the cup).

Last week, Zulte-Waregem lost once more points at home. They played 2-2 against Beveren who is in huge relegation danger. Zulte-Waregem played slow, tired, without inspiration, Beveren scored twice and 10 minutes before the end, Zulte-Waregem also scored twice, and 2-2 was the FT.

Club Brugge lost in Gent with 4-1. We are humulitated said sportive manager Degryse. It was painfull as Club Brugge fan to see how Club Brugge played last saturday. Very slow, no good passes, no inspiration, NOTHING. It was also a strange choise of (ex) trainer Ceulemans to put Ishiaku, Englebert, Gvozdenovic and Vandelanoitte in the team. He made 5 substitutions before the game, and al this players has no technic. How can such team win against in form Gent?! Fans quited the stadion before the end of the game.

In fact, I expekt a home win here. I don't know what the odds are, but Brugge MUST win, and to be honest, they have good players: Portillo, Verheyen, Leko.. Zulte-Waregem looks very tired for long time, I'm sure they want the end of the competition to go to holidays. And all their minds are on the game against Standard next thuesday. The stadion is really sold-out, I'm afraid of the reactions of the fans: they will probably sing about Ceulemans, a Brugge monument. Hopefully Ferrera will get support from the fans, he really needs it. 500 Brugge fans went to today's training, and they supported Ferrera: most of the fans said that he is like Sollied, ex-Brugge trainer: smart with discipline and tactic!

Brugge: Vanaudenaarde is injured and suspended. That's not a loss for Brugge as he plays bad. Butina is long term injured. Valgaeren and Lange are out till the end of the season.

Zulte-Waregem: Thibaut is sick and won't play against Brugge. Minne and Leleu are doubtfull, but will probably play.
